Prepay Metering

The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate how a software based prepaid platform compliments the AMI environment. By drawing from the technology offered through AMI -- specifically daily usage reads --PAMS (Prepaid Account Management System) if able to offer a feasible option to both credit challenged consumers who are unable to fulfill deposit requirements or pay large monthly bills and consumers desiring to lessen their impact on the environment through usage monitoring and decreased consumption. In acheiving this goal, particular attention will be paid to integration with both AMI and CIS and the use of MultiSpeak in acquiring required data.

Meter Programs Standardization

This survey answers these questions:

Do you use Daylight Savings Time in any region of your utility?  If yes, do you use DST in ALL regions of your utility?  If no, how do you deal with the difference?  Do you identify your displayed quantities with some type of identifier, such as ID 01 is kWh, ID 02 is kw,ID 03 is kvarh, etc?  Is that standardized throughout you company?
