AGA continues to be in contact with all the member companies that have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. At this point, it appears that Entergy and the area municipals are the ones currently in the most need of outside resources. They are still attempting to gain access and assess the full situation. AGA, working with out member company operations executives, is coordinating closely with the Southern Gas Association and the American Public Gas Association on relief efforts.

In late 2002 Peoples conducted a joint mock emergency with Nicor Gas and NGPL. The emergency was staged to test each company’s response to an event at a shared facility. In addition to the drill, Peoples has been working with Nicor and several other pipeline suppliers as part of a Mutual Assistance Program.
