Well everyone, I'm preparing to face my context head on.  I'm part excited, part scared, and yet willing to take the risk in order to reap the reward.  As mentioned in the last few Energetic Women newsletters, Rayona Sharpnack, Founder & CEO of the Institute for Women's Leadership offered a steep discount to attend her program titled "Women Leading Change" at the end of October, and I decided to take her up on the offer.  I sure wish you could all be there with me.

I want to share one of the questions I've been asked as part of the preparation for the course:

When standing in the future, what kind of impact would you like to have in your organization?
My answer: I'd like to be the servant leader that has transformed this organization and many other male-dominated industries through enlightening women to recognize their potential, use their skills and talents to increase their role and thereby add greater value to their organization and their lives.

My reward would be in reaping what I sow.  Now, in looking up "sow" in the dictionary, it has a couple of definitions: an adult female swine  - and although I do ride a Harley and belong to a group called HOG (Harley Owners Group), that is not it.  It's this one - 1-to plant seed for growing esp. by scattering; 2-to strew with or as if with seed; 3-to scatter abroad.

What are you prepared to risk? And in reaping your reward, what will you sow?  What does your future and your future impact look like for your organization?  Energetic Women has planted the seed and we continue to grow.  Allow us to be your resource in risking, reaping, sowing and rewarding!
