We are looking to restructure our interview process here at Atmos Energy so that our HR Representatives don’t have to spend so much time interviewing internal/external candidates for different vacancies available in our region. I am asking to speak with an HR rep from MEA Member companies so I can get a better understanding of the extent HR is involved throughout the process of interviewing.

Jennifer,
This is in reply to your post and our conversation regarding interview processes. Our recruiters are involved in the initial candidate selection which consists of a resume review, telephone interview or in-person interview. Most interviews at the HR level are conducted over the phone and interviews with hiring managers are conducted in-person. HR seldom interviews jointly with hiring managers.
We use a candidate selection form to ensure consistency in the interview process. The candidate selection form documents the selection criteria and the interviewer's ranking of each candidate.
