In downtown St. Louis, we are seeing an emergence of new restaurants that have outdoor dining arrangements. Some of dining areas are near or directly on top of our downtown network transformers. We have one instance where a malfunction resulted in the damage of the seating area. Luckily, it was during non-business hours and no one was injured, but you can imagine the potential.

I would like to know if you are having similar problems, and what steps or policies have you taken to prevent this potential hazard

Have you had discussions with the local government to create ordinances to prevent the placement over electric transformer?

How are you enforcing you policy? Working directly with the owners, or with the local government?

Thanks in advance for you participation
